Matt Trim, founder of Crafty

I started Crafty because I saw the opportunity to make a positive change.

Most of what we do is hands-on building, with strategy and consultancy in the mix too. Our focus is on efficient, sustainable, quality software, building great teams along the way.

The Story

We believe in a positive, sustainable future that leverages tech to help people (#Tech4Good).

To make this happen, we commit to the following principles:

Our experience comes from writing software and leading teams in agencies and building products — everything from internal tools, to greenfield production apps, to replatformed brownfield apps. We've seen good engineering, bad engineering, and everywhere in between.

We started Crafty in 2026 because we wanted to bring that experience to teams who care about getting everything right, who want a partner (not a vendor!), and who'd rather build something durable than something quick.

Our Approach

Understand

We take the time to talk to you, understand your goals, and assess the scenario before we write any code. This helps us provide the best solution for you, in an efficient, cost friendly manner.

Design

Once we know what we're working with and how we're going to do it, we work on designing a solution for the problem at hand. This could be visual designs, or engineering plans.

Implement

After thorough reviews and conversations with you, we'll implement the proposed solution. We'll be a proactive partner during this time, letting you know how things are going, and keeping you up to date on any progress and any problems.

Maintain

The most important part of any project happens after the go-live. We'll be on hand to fix bugs, add improvements, and analyse usage.
